The Old Russell Hill Bridge is located in Wilton New Hampshire. In fact I have driven by this bridge many times and never really noticed it. The question, is this or was this a covered bridge?

This bridge is also known as the Livermore Bridge or the Blood Brook Bridge to some. Some research states that there has been a bridge at this location since the mid 1700’s. It also notes that this bridge is built with boxed pony lattice truss. This is the only know example of this style truss in North America. It’s kind of interesting that it is boxed in.

The one thing I still don’t know, was this a covered bridge or not? Just because this bridge was built with the style of a covered bridge, does that make it a covered bridge? I guess I’ll never know. If someone comes across this post and knows the answer to this question I would love to hear your take on it.

On the day visited the bridge looked like it was not in the best shape. So I did not step on it but I did walk around it a photograph it a bit. It does kind of look like an upside-down covered bridge.
