I’ve always loved the Waterloo covered bridge in Warner. This was my Memere’s favorite bridge too. The station next to this bridge was a print shop and she used to like to pick up printing projects because she could drive through the covered bridge. I always think about that memory when I go over this bridge.

The Waterloo bridge is on Newmarket Road. It was built in 1840 and spans 76 feet over the Warner River. It was constructed with a town lattice truss. The bridge has a bright red metal roof and is very photogenic.

The Waterloo Station looks like it was unoccupied. I wonder if the same print shop was still there? Just below the bridge are Warner Falls. A small drop in the river. When I was there the water was flowing pretty good. The leaves were out so not many angles I could get with the bridge.
If you are a covered bridge lover, this is worth pulling off the road and checking it out.
