Bald Mountain in Antrim NH
It was a crisp sunny morning when I headed out to meet some friends to hike up Bald Mountain in Antrim New Hampshire.
The plan was to meet at 9am and the drive was just a little over an hour from Manchester. We were planning to met at the Tamposi trailhead parking lot.
When I arrived there were only a few other cars in the lot. The lot looked like it could hold about 20-30 cars if everyone parked considerately.

Once we were all geared up we started up the trail. This first part of the trail was easy and very beautiful meandered though some giant bolder fields.
We continued onward and upward and at .8 miles came to a junction. We continued up til we reached the summit cairn. The actual summit is wooded and did not offer any views but we took a few pics anyway.
We chose to do the loop hike over to the Todor trail. The trail took us down to some ledges about a quarter of a mile from the summit. There were great views and we took some time to explore, have a snack and take pictures. T
here are great views of Mt. Monadnock from this location. You could also see Crotched Mountain and the Uncanoonunc Mountains out in the distance.
From here we continued down to a section called the “Lower Ledges” which again had great view of Willard Lake.
From here it was not long before we reached the bottom where the temps had warmed up quite a bit. The Todor trail moved along the flat but rooty lake side.
In encountered some more bolder fields and some large lush green moss. Soon we had reached we reached the boat ramp and the road.
Once on the road we were just a few hundred yards from the parking lot. When we got back the lot was jam packed with hikers and kayakers. Even some people waiting of other people (us) to leave.
Great hike for beginners who are not looking for something to long or difficult and offers excellent views.
