Bacon Ledge & Round Mountain
Ever since I heard of Bacon Ledge I knew I had to hike it. Even if it was short and a bit out of the way.
Started at the parking located on Old Antrim Road. Then started up the Bacon Ledge to Trout Pond Trail. This hike was a simple out and back trek. The trail started fairly easy with a few moderate sections.
Once at the top of Bacon Ledge there were some nice views of the surrounding area and a good place for a quick snack before heading over to Round Mountain.
The trail from Bacon Ledge to Round Mountain was a little eerie. It was quiet and wet and somewhat darker under the evergreens. I thought for sure this was were I would encounter a Moose or Bear on the trail. Fortunately I did not.

Once I found the high point. (Just a rock with a couple of small rocks stacked on top). I decided to turn around and head back down. I did not see a single person on this hike. This was a fun little hike. Even getting to the trail was nice fun drive.
