Great weekend getaway to Vermont. Started by seeing Pink Talking Fish in Brattleboro VT, then heading up to Magic Mountain the next Day.

Pink Talking Fish is a favorite band of mine and some others so we met up for a great show at the Stone Church. This is an old stone church that has been converted into a music hall. Great acoustics and awesome layout.

It was my first time there. I thought it was cool to see a giant disco ball hanging from the ceiling of a church. The show as awesome and we all had a great time.

The next morning is was snowing. We made out way up to Londonderry VT, to ski at Magic Mountain.

The whole set up there was pretty cool. It was the first time I had skied here and it was on my Indy Pass. My buddy Jay and I were first to arrive and Pauly showed up shortly after.

There were a number of great blue trails that I liked. We made several runs and really enjoyed riding the older “Red” lift up to the top.

In some areas the snow was a little thin but most of the mountain was open. I would love to come here after a big snow fall and be able to stay for some of the entertainment at lodge. They seem to have a good number of shows.

Magic Mountain is not a large mountain and that is part of it’s charm. I loved some of the merchandise in the retail shop. Lots of Grateful Dead stuff and some of the slogans were fun. “Magic Mountain Laid Back Since Way Back” or “Where Skiing Has a Soul”.

After we left the mountain we headed over to the New American Grill for some apps before going home. They also have some great Grateful Dead décor throughout the restaurant.
